Fading snapshots
Of things and people and events and happenings
Once quite real
Sometime ago
Sometime in the past
Sometime somewhere
Some things and
Somebodys
Like pinballs we bounced about each other
And others unsteered
Bouncing briefly off us,
My friend networks
Family and friendships
And years
The times we had
The pluses and minuses
Amongst jokes and cusses
The Universe and
World problems solved over beers
Late into the night
My list of memorables is infinitely long
Stretched to fulfillment
If you’re not on the list
You’re still with me
More memories still
As we slide still into our Winters
Family gone before?
Yes, of course
Friends and Family
Family and Friends
I am me because of them.
Memories
What smiles
What heartbreaks
What laughter
What joys
What shenanigans
Meaningful to some
Meaningful to me
My memories are mine
My memories
My reality
Melded into one
My memories I shall take with me
In perpetuity
My spirit I leave with you
A toast in memoriam*
To alls y’all

*In memoriam:
George, Lou, Don, Cepheus, Wotier, Ken, Paul, Jim Williams, Jake, Jim Hood, Ed Foster, Jerry K, Tom Jackson, And of course, Family what took leave all before me.
The message is that while memories dissolve, the spirit remains. While I grieve the losses, I revel in their memory, which in time I join.
