The transition from now to memories is a nostalgic chasm into which my heart sinks; emptiness and loss haunt me but my soul emerges happy and free.

Poet Laureate of Memories
Author’s Notes: We have our memories as an alternate reality. When we get old memories fade. The older we get, senility sets in, short term memory relieves itself from our repertoire leaving us with long term memories of a long long longer time ago. Essentially memory reverses. At the end when we pass, the soul transcends “happy and free,” free of reality.
